(Law & Order) Department, dated 05.03.2018, after receiving the report of the Advisory Board on 23.02.

2018, as illegal, arbitrary, void and unconstitutional ...." Today, the learned Government Pleader for Home (T.S.) has placed before this Court a copy of G.O.Rt.No.1227, General Administration (Spl. (Law & Order) Department, dated 27.06.2018, revoking the detention order 'on humanitarian and medical grounds'.

While we do not subscribe to the reasons under which the said G.O. has been issued, we however, do not wish to carry the matter further as the respondents have taken corrective steps albeit under the cover of the above mentioned grounds. In view of issuance of the above G.O.Rt.No.1227, dated 27.06.2018, consequent on which the detenu was released, the cause

in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and the writ petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous. No order as to costs.
