HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 20927 of 2016 ORDER:

The petitioner states that the third respondent issued a notification in the year 2012 for recruitment of 1850 Drivers in the respondents-Corporation, The petitioner applied for the said post of Driver and was asked to appear for interview. He was selected for the post of Driver. Thereafter, he was declared fit in the Medical Test and also given training from 01.02.2013 to

16.4.2013. It appears that the third respondent addressed a letter on 6.8.2014 to the fourth respondent seeking clarification of the genuineness of the driving licence possessed by the petitioner. Though a letter was prepared, the petitioner states that the same was not communicated for about one year. In the meanwhile other persons who were selected pursuant to the aforesaid notification were given posting orders, however no order was given to the petitioner. This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give appointment order pursuant to the interview, medical test and training underwent by him pursuant to the notification issued in the year 2012.

Though notice before admission was ordered on 28.06.2016 and four weeks time was granted for filing counter affidavit, no counter affidavit was filed by the respondents. In the circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to consider the case of the petitioner in the light of the facts herein stated above and issue appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
