Petitioner contends that in the municipal record, his father name was wrongly entered as "Venkata Narsaiah", whereas his father name is "Venkata Narayana", though his mother name is correctly reflected. According to the petitioner, except in municipal record, in all his school records, his father name was correctly mentioned as Venkata Narayana and since municipal record is not tallying with his school records, therefore, seeking correction of entry in the municipal record in respect of his father's name, petitioner claimed to have submitted representations on 14.5.2019 and 31.5.2019. Alleging inaction on the part of respondents, the present writ petition is filed. 3.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the Respondents to consider the representations claimed to have made by the petitioner on 14.5.2019 and 31.5.2019 for correction of entry in the date of birth register maintained by the Respondent Municipality with reference to petitioner's father name and pass appropriate orders as warranted under law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
