This criminal petition is filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C to grant pre-arrest bail to the petitioner/Accused No.1 apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.16 of 2018 on the file of Chegunta Police Station, Medak District, for the offences punishable under Sections 448, 354-b IPC and Under Section 3 (r) (s) of SC/ST (POA) Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner/Accused No.1, Sri P.Lakshma Reddy, during hearing, requested this Court to direct the Station House Officer, Chegunta Police Station to follow the procedure under Section 41 of Cr.P.C and the guidelines issued in Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar and another1.

In view of the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner/Accused No.1, without touching the merits of the petition, the Criminal Petition is disposed of, directing the Station House Officer, Chegunta, Medak District to follow the procedure under Section 41 of Cr.P.C and the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar and another, referred to supra, before taking any coercive steps against the petitioner/Accused No.1. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
