In this Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the only grievance of the petitioner is non-registration of the crime pursuant to the report, dated 01.02.2018, lodged with the Station House Officer, Gaara Police Station, Srikakulam District, the first respondent herein.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home (A.P.) appearing for respondents 1 to 3. Perused the material record.

At the hearing, learned Government Pleader for Home (A.P.), on written instructions, a copy of which is placed on record, would submit that a case in Crime No.18 of 2018 was registered by the first respondent on 18.03.2018, for the offences punishable under Sections 427, 447 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code; that investigation is taken up and it is under progress; and, that so far 10 witnesses have been examined. In that view of the matter, no cause survives for adjudication on merits.

Recording the said submissions, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed.
