THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.35125 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner was that the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, was not issuing a police licence to enable him to run his business in the name and style of 'M/s. Snooker Town' at Sriram Nagar Colony, Alwal, Ranga Reddy District.

Relying on the written instructions dated 06.11.2015 received from the SubInspector of Police, Alwal Police Station, Cyberabad, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home stated that pursuant to the application made by the petitioner on 16.10.2015, the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, asked the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alwal, under memo dated 23.10.2015 to take necessary action. In turn, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alwal, asked the Inspector of Police, Alwal, under memo dated 30.10.2015, to enquire and report. Thereupon, the Inspector of Police, Alwal, enquired into the matter and submitted report dated 06.11.2015 to the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, recommending the grant of police licence to the petitioner as he found that requisite certification had been given by the fire authorities and the petitioner had also taken necessary precautions in all respects.

As the recommendation seems to have been made by the Inspector of Police, Alwal, only on 06.11.2015, the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, would necessarily have to take suitable steps in the matter pursuant thereto. This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
