Petitioners claim that they are the owners of land to an extent of Ac.10-34 guntas in Sy.No.67/1 of Jelpalli Village, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District. While so, petitioners are aggrieved by erroneous inclusion of their property in the list of prohibited properties and communicating the list to the registration department under Section 22-A of the Registration Act. Aggrieved by erroneous inclusion in the prohibited list of properties, petitioners submitted a representation on 07.08.2017 to the District Collector, Revenue Divisional Officer and Tahsildar, Ranga Reddy District, sent through the registered post with acknowledgement due.

Alleging inaction on the said representation on erroneous inclusion in the prohibited list of properties, notwithstanding consideration of the claim earlier, by this Court, this writ petition is filed.

Since the petitioners have already submitted application to the District Collector for exclusion of the property claimed by them as owned from the list of prohibited properties, this Court is not inclined to admit, keep the writ petition pending and express any opinion on merits.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the District Collector, Ranga Reddy District, to examine the claim of the petitioners based on the material submitted to him, take a

- 3 - decision and communicate the same to the petitioners by assigning due reasons in support of his decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is needless to observe that if the District Collector accepts the contention of the petitioners that erroneously, the property is included in the list of prohibited properties, he shall request the Commissioner and Inspector General of Stamps & Registration to exclude the properties from the list of prohibited properties. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
