HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 13618 of 2014 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of fourth respondent in not conducting elections to the managing committee of the fifth respondent-Society by appointing an adhoc committee and continuing the same.

Now a counter affidavit is filed on behalf of Respondents 1 to 4 stating as follows:

" It is submitted that the members in the General Body held on 29.3.2015, elected a new Adhoc Committee under the Chairmanship of Sri K.Chiranjeevi, Senior Member and requested the District Cooperative Officer, Nellore to conduct the elections as per the provisions of the Act.

Accordingly, the District Cooperative Officer, Nellore addressed a letter on 30.03.2015 to the said new adhoc committee to prepare the eligible member list to conduct the elections to the Managing Committee of the said society by taking records from the 6th respondent".

In view of the aforesaid statement made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of respondents 1 to 4, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Cooperative Officer, Nellore to initiate election process and complete the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the election process is completed, the interim order dated 28.04.2014 passed by this Court in WPMP.No. 17002 of 2014 shall continue in operation.

Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
