THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM I.A.Nos. 1 to 3 of 2019 and CRIMINAL PETITION No. 3521 of 2019 COMMON ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings against the petitioner/A.1 in Crime No.856 of 2019 of Rajendranagar Police Station, Cyberabad, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. During pendency of this petition, the second respondent/ de facto complainant filed I.A.Nos.1 to 3 of 2019 seeking permission of this Court to record the compromise and for quashing the proceedings in Crime No.856 of 2019 of Rajendranagar Police Station, Cyberabad, by stating that the matter is settled outside the Court amicably. A joint memo signed by both the parties is also filed to that effect. Today, the second respondent/de facto complainant and the petitioner/A.1 are present and are identified by their respective counsel. When examined, the second respondent/de facto complainant has stated that the matter has been settled outside the Court and has no objection to compound the offences.

CKR, J Crl.P.No.3521 of 2019 Considering the above and in view of the decision reported in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab and another1, I.A.Nos.1 to 3 are allowed and the parties are permitted to compound the offences in Crime No.856 of 2019 of Rajendranagar Police Station, Cyberabad.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings against the petitioner/A.1 in Cr.No.856 of 2019 are hereby quashed.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
