O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the police authorities were harassing them without due process. The Sub-Inspector of Police, Somandepally Police Station, Anantapur District, filed a counter-affidavit stating that pursuant to a complaint made by one P. Srinivasulu against the first petitioner herein, an enquiry was made into the matter by the Station House Officer, Somandepally Police Station, but no case was registered against the first petitioner. The Sub-Inspector denied the allegations levelled by the petitioners as to the harassment and stated that except for receipt of the complaint made by the said P. Srinivasulu and the enquiry made thereupon, the police authorities never harassed, threatened or interfered with the life and liberty of the petitioners or their family members.

The said stand of the police authorities is taken on record. In the light thereof, no interference is called for in this writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
