.....Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed herein, the High Court may be pleased to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to Declare the action of the Respondent No.1 in issuing G.O.Rt.No.693, dated:16-12- 2014, issuing orders for appointment of Multipurpose Extension Officers (MPEO) on Contract Basis as illegal, arbitrary, violation of principle of natural justice and violation 'Of article 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently set aside the G.O.RT.No.693, dated: 16-12-2014 issued by the Respondent No.1.
The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed herein and upon hearing the arguments of M/s. Y. Balaji, Advocate for the Petitioners, and Govt. Pleader for Agriculture (AP) for the Respondents, the Court made the following ORDER:
"Petitioners claim their rights as Adharsha Rythu, which is subject matter of WP.No.32063 of 2014 and batch. Consequent upon the abolition of Adarsha Rythu system, the impugned G.O.Rt.No.693 dated 16.12.2014 issued proposals to appoint Multipurpose Extension Officer on contract basis.
Since the petitioners' entitlement to be continued as Adarsha Rythu depends upon the result in WP.No.32063 of 2014 and batch, it is appropriate that this writ petition is heard along with the said batch. Hence, Rule Nisi. Call for records.
Notice returnable in four (4) weeks.
