No representation for the petitioners.
The petitioners pray for the following relief: " .. to issue a writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, declaring the action of the respondents in holding competitive examination based on merit instead of holding Qualifying Examinations as promised by them and as per old Recruitment Rules, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of the principles of Promissory Estoppel and vilolative Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to hold qualifying screening test for JAO part-II Examination and provide chances as per the old Recruitment Rules 1977.."
On 17.10.2008, the interim prayer was rejected and WPMP No.7080 of 2006 was dismissed. The petitioners with the passage of time and subsequent promotions taking place in the organization may not be interested in working out the writ prayer. The writ petition is dismissed for default.
