This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in proceeding with elections to the members of Pastorate Committees for Triennium 2019-2022 in Karimnagar Group Church Council, Jagtial Group Church Council, Warangal Group Church Council, Alair Group Church Council, within jurisdiction of Karimnagar diocese, Karimnagar, on 02.0.2019 in contrary to Chapter-8, Clause-2(4), Chapter 7, Clause-2(5) and election notification 2019, issued by respondent under Clause 2(d) & (e). Counter affidavit is filed by the respondents stating that elections are already over.

When the same is pointed out to learned counsel for petitioners, he states that the writ petition may be disposed of granting liberty to the petitioners to challenge the said elections.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioners to challenge the elections, in accordance with law. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
