HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE NAMAVARAPU RAJESHWAR RAO W.P.No.35365 of 1998 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili) When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the writ petition is filed seeking promotion of late P.V Pavithran as Inspect General of Police with effect from November, 1982.

Such a relief cannot be granted by this Court as the person in question has expired and there cannot be a direction against a dead person. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
