THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION Nos. 35412, 35492, 35646, 35672, 35885, 35904 and 35921 of 2014 Common Order: (per Sri Sanjay Kumar,J) The challenge in these Writ Petitions is to Ordinance No.1 of 2014 dated 16.08.2014 issued by the State of Telangana and the consequential orders passed thereon.
The learned Advocate General for the State of Telangana filed Memo dated 13.02.2015 in one of the cases in this batch, W.P.No.35412 of 2014, wherein it is stated that the impugned ordinance ceased to have effect along with the consequential orders, as the ordinance was not placed before the Legislative Assembly within the time stipulated, as required by law. In that view of the matter, these Writ Petitions are rendered infructuous and are accordingly dismissed as such. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No costs.
