CVNR,J & GSP, J Order: (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of Habeas Corpus, declaring the detention of Mr.Pullela Srikanth (for short 'alleged detenu') by respondents No.3 and 4, as illegal and consequently direct them to produce the alleged detenu before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

At the hearing, Mr.Pavan Kumar Aditya, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the alleged detenu was set at liberty by this Court on 04.04.2018 and that subsequently, he has surrendered himself before the jurisdictional Magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody. He has further submitted that the alleged detenu was taken into illegal custody on 16.03.2018 and was kept under detention till 04.04.2018 and that, therefore, appropriate action needs to be taken against the respondents for such illegal detention. A perusal of the prayer in the writ petition reveals that the petitioner only sought for production of the alleged detenu before the Court and setting him at liberty. This having been done, no further adjudication in this writ petition needs to be done. However, if the petitioner or the alleged detenu feels that the police have acted illegally, they shall be free to avail appropriate legal remedies, both on civil and criminal side against the respondents.

Subject to this liberty, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
