THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.4921 of 2017 ORDER:
The petitioner is working as a Police Constable in the Traffic Division of Chowtuppal Police Station of Rachakonda Commissionerate limits. It appears that the fourth respondent gave a complaint before the third respondent on 19.01.2017 with regard to an offence that took place on 06.01.2017 in connection with demonetization issue and the same was registered as FIR No.58 of 2017 on 19.01.2017 by the Madhapur (Guttala) Police Station, Cyberabad. After registration of the said complaint, the third respondent examined 18 witnesses and recorded their statements. It is the case of the petitioner that he is being called to the Police Station unnecessarily and being harassed by the third respondent. Stating that his personal liberty is curtailed, the present Writ Petition is filed.
As stated by the petitioner, the case is under investigation by the third respondent, and with regard to the method and manner of investigation, this Court cannot interfere, except stating that the petitioner shall not be harassed and the Police shall follow due process of law during the course of investigation of the crime. The Writ Petition, is accordingly, disposed of.
The miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ________________________________ (A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO, J) 13.02.2017 vs
