The petitioner is aged 57 years, working as Deputy Executive Engineer, who is at the fag end of his service realized that his date of birth is wrongly recorded in service register. As such, he made representation to the Government on 15.03.2018 to correct his age. As no orders are passed, present writ petition is filed.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

It is to be seen that the date of birth of the petitioner has already been registered in his Service Register but he made representation at the age of 57 years, i.e., at the fag end of his service for correcting his date of birth in his Service Register on the ground that his date of birth is wrongly entered into SSC certificate.

It is to be seen that basing on SSC certificate, the date of birth was taken into account and entered into Service Register and now after several years at the fag end of his service, he cannot seek for change of date of birth. Petitioner is educated person and it is strange to contend that he is not aware of his correct date of birth till fag end of his service. It is only an afterthought, concocted story to continue in service beyond the age of superannuation.

In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to entertain the Writ Petition for correcting the date of birth of the petitioner. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. _________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY,J 03-04-2018 kvs
