HCJ & Dr.SA, J WP.No.13281 of 2019 Dt: 03.07.2019 ORDER: (per the Hon'ble Dr. Justice Shameem Akther) This writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondent Nos.2 and 3 to produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, Pittala Ratnakumari before this Court and set her at liberty.

According to the petitioner, on 15.06.2019, he came to Hyderabad along with his daughter, Pittala Ratnakumari, dropped her at her college i.e., Deepthi Nursing Home College, Vanasthalipuram, at about 2.00 P.M., and left to his village. On 16.06.2019, at about 11.00 P.M., the petitioner received a phone call from the Principal of the said college, who stated that his daughter went outside on 16.06.2019 at about 5.00 P.M. to buy a cake and did not return to the hostel. On 18.06.2019, the petitioner lodged a report before the Police, Vanasthalipuram Police Station. Based on the said report, the police registered a case under the head "Woman Missing". Today, the police has produced Pittala Ratnakumari before this Court.

This Court interacted with Pittala Ratnakumari. She stated that she is above 18 years of age. She married one G.Shiva on 18.06.2019 and living with him at Nelakondapalli Village and Mandal, Khammam District, voluntarily. Under these circumstances, no case of illegal detention, as alleged by the petitioner, is made out.

HCJ & Dr.SA, J WP.No.13281 of 2019 Dt: 03.07.2019 The writ petition is devoid of merits, and the same is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall also stand dismissed.
