Puskuru Ram Prabhakar Rao, v. Sri B.R.Meena,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN CONTEMPT CASE No.1658 of 2013 ORDER:
The order, violation of which is alleged in this Contempt Case, is the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.5172 of 2913 dated 08.03.2013 whereby both the respondents were directed to make payment, in accordance with the impugned G.O. within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. The payment required to be made to the petitioner was for a sum of Rs.9,11,782/-. Sri C.V.Bhaskar Reddy, learned Government Pleader for Revenue, would place before this Court a copy of the Acquittance of Payment dated 18.10.2013 signed by the Land Reforms Tribunal & Revenue Divisional Officer, Jangaon to the effect that a sum of Rs.9,11,812/- has been paid to the petitioner vide cheque No.651349 dated 15.10.2013. The said proceedings also contains the signature of the petitioners.
It is evident, therefore, that the order passed by this Court dated 08.03.2013 has been complied with albeit belatedly. I see no reason to proceed against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. The Contempt Case is, accordingly, closed. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________________________ RAMESH RANGANATHAN, J 09th October, 2015.
