THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.11101 of 2018 ORDER:

In this Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the grievance of the writ petitioner is only with regard to not completing the investigation into the case in Crime No.180 of 2017, on the file of the Station House Officer, Puttur Police Station, Chittoor District, i.e., the 4th respondent, despite the fact that the crime was registered in September, 2017.

I have heard the submissions of Sri G.Jayendra Balaji, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and of the learned Government Pleader for Home (A.P.) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. I have perused the material record.

At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if a direction is given to the 4th respondent to expedite the investigation and file a final report, in accordance with procedure established by law, the ends of justice would be met. 4.

Having regard to the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to expedite the investigation into the afore-stated crime and file a final report by strict adherence to the procedure established by law. It is made clear that the petitioner shall extend necessary co-operation during the course of investigation, if necessary, by producing any documents, which would assist the Investigating Officer in arriving at a just opinion in the matter. There shall be no order as to costs.

MSRM, J W.P.No.11101 of 2018 Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order.
