Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri N.Bhupal Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondents 2 to 4. Inasmuch as the representation of the petitioner dated 28.03.2018 is stated to be pending with the 2nd respondent for grant of medical and maternity leave and for payment for salary during the said period, in terms of Maternity Benefits Act, 1961, without expressing any opinion on merits, writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law and take appropriate action, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
