THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 40300 of 2015 ORDER:

The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: "It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of the Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not granting permission in favour of the petitioner by considering his application dated 21.015.2015 before 2nd respondent as illegal arbitrary, and against the principles of natural justice, consequently direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission to the petitioner by considering his application dated 21.05.2015 and to pass such other orders as are necessary in the interests of justice."

2. The Sub-Inspector of Police, Chaitanyapuri Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, furnished written instructions dated 09.03.2016 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home wherein he stated that after obtaining reports from the police authorities concerned, the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad Commissionerate, rejected the application of the petitioner for grant of licence under Memo bearing Rc.No.55/M1Snooker/Cyb/2015 dated 27.08.2015.

3. In the light of the afore-stated development, the cause in this writ petition no longer survives for consideration on merits.

4. The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to pursue his remedies in accordance with law if he is aggrieved by the Memo dated 27.08.2015. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
