Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Energy for respondent No.1 and Sri N.Siva Reddy, learned Standing counsel for respondents 2 to 4. 2.
Alleging that the respondents are threatening to disconnect the power supply to the houses/huts of the members of the petitioner society, situated in Sy.Nos.296 & 302 of Kondaraju Patteda, L.B.Nagar, M.R.Palli, Tirupathi Urban, Chittoor District without following the due process, this writ petition is filed.

This Court by order dated 22.03.2016 while directing the respondent-counsel to get instructions, as to procedure to be followed with regard to disconnection of power supply, directed maintenance of status quo.

Learned counsel for the petitioner informs the Court that pursuant to the interim order of this Court, power supply is not disconnected and that so far no eviction proceeding is initiated against the petitioner.

That being so, if there is no eviction proceedings against the members of the petitioner-society and if they are paying electricity charges regularly and have not attracted any other penal consequences, the power supply shall continue to be provided. However, this order does not come in the way of competent authority taking action in accordance with law, if
- 3 - proceedings of eviction are initiated or to be initiated. If any arrears are due by the petitioner, it is open to the respondents to recover those amounts.
