HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R. KANTHA RAO Writ Petition No.28170 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard Sri M. Viswanadham, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri J.Srinivasa Rao, learned standing counsel for the respondents-Company.

2. The petitioner was initially appointed as casual Mazdoor on 27.03.1987 in the respondent-Company and later he was promoted as General Mazdoor on 11.01.1993 and at present, he is working as Lamp Room Mazdoor. According to the petitioner, by virtue of Standing Order No.2(f)(i) of the Respondent-Company, a permanent employee, who is appointed for an unlimited period or who has satisfactorily completed probationary period of three months continuous service, is entitled to be regularised in the same post. The version of the petitioner is that he has been working as Lamp Room Mazdoor for the last 693 days as on 07.08.2015 continuously and therefore, his services have to be regularised in the said post. In this regard, he also submitted a representation dated 07.08.2015 to the respondents to make him permanent in the post of Lamp Room Mazdoor and the same is pending with the 2nd respondent.

Under the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 07.08.2015 submitted by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with the standing orders of the Company, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this writ petition, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
