THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.11219 of 2018 ORDER:

In this writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the only grievance of the petitioners is in respect of nonconsideration of their representation, dated 22.03.2018. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and of the Government Pleader for Home. A direction is sought, in the writ petition, to the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioners inter alia stating that after a crime was registered on the complaint of the petitioners, the petitioners were beaten up by entering into their house; that their furniture was also damaged; that a wall is erected in the middle of the house; that they are being forced to withdraw the case and vacate the house by threatening that otherwise they would be killed; and, that therefore, police protection is being sought.

Learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana), on oral instructions, dated 04.04.2018, a copy of which is placed on record, would submit that on receipt of a report from the petitioners, an entry was made in the General Diary of the Police Station, on 26.03.2018; that after conducting preliminary enquiry, a case in Crime No.

representation is made seeking police protection; that there is a State Level Committee to consider such requisitions; and that, therefore, the petitioners are required to approach the said Committee; and, hence, the writ petition is not maintainable.

Recording the said submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Station House Officer, Kukunoorpally Police Station, the 7th respondent herein, to take suitable action on the representation of the petitioners, as per the procedure established by law, within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
