Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Registration and Stamps (AP) for the respondents.

Petitioner claims that he purchased an extent of Ac.5.00 land in Survey No.266/2 of Korangi Village in a Court auction and it is a private patta land. However, erroneously, the said land is included in the list of prohibited properties under Section 22-A(1)(a) of the Registration Act, 1908. Having come to know about the erroneous inclusion, representation was made by the petitioner to the District Collector on 19.02.2018 to delete the subject land from the list of prohibited properties. Alleging inaction, this Writ Petition is filed.

Since the petitioner has already submitted representation for deletion of the land from the list of prohibited properties, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector to examine the request of the petitioner for deletion of land from the list of prohibited properties, as per his representation dated 19.02.2018 and to pass orders as warranted by law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
