Petitioners claim to be working as Junior Assistants in Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (2nd respondent). Petitioners and others submitted a representation on 31.12.2015 requesting to consider them for promotion as per their seniority, when Dr.Y.S.R.Horticultural University was existing, as the University covering the entire undivided State of Andhra Pradesh. Petitioners also submitted another representation on 21.02.2017.

Ignoring their claim, orders were passed on 19.04.2017 granting promotions to respondents 4 to 9. Alleging inaction on the said representations and granting promotions to their juniors and not granting promotion to the petitioners, this writ petition is filed.

Since petitioners claim that no orders are passed on their representations dated 31.12.2015 and 21.02.2017, learned counsel for the petitioners request to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to pass orders on the representations. 4.

Having regard to the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Registrar, Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (2nd respondent) to examine the claim of the petitioners and to pass orders, as warranted by law. It is made clear that there is no expression of opinion on merits of the contentions urged and all the contentions urged in this writ

- 3 - petition are left open to the petitioners to agitate in appropriate proceedings. The order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners by assigning due reasons, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
