Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. 2.

Petitioners claim to be the absolute owners and possessors of land to an extent of Acs.9.60 cents in Survey No.97/1 of Madhurawada Village, Visakhapatnam District. For abolition of inams, a part of Vizianagaram Zamindari Estate was taken over by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under the Estate of Abolition Act, 1948 and village was designated as Zamindari Village. On 25.10.2017, claim petition under Section 7(1) of the Andhra Pradesh Inams (Abolition and Conversion into Rythwari) Act, 1956 (for short, 'the Act') was filed. They have also submitted further application to the Tahsildar. Alleging inaction on the said applications, this Writ Petition is filed.

Since petitioners claim that they have already made application and no decision is made on the said application, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Tahsildar, (Inams), Visakhapatnam Rural, Visakhapatnam District, the 3rd respondent, to examine the claim of the petitioners as ventilated in their application filed under Section 7(1) of the Act and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of his decision and communicate the same to the petitioners within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
