Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. None appears for the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that persons similarly placed like the petitioner had filed W.P.No.12071 of 2006 and this Court passed orders on 14-09-2006 permitting the petitioners therein to make a representation to the respondents to consider their case for appointment on contract basis within two weeks from the date of passing of the order by this Court, and a further direction was given to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners for appointment on contract basis for the current academic year on the same terms and conditions on which other persons were appointed. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks the same direction herein also.

Therefore, this Writ Petition is also disposed of directing the petitioner to make a representation within two weeks from today to the respondents to continue him as contract Junior Lecturer in Civics in 2nd respondent-college and on receipt of the said representation, the respondents shall consider the same for appointment of the petitioner on contract basis for the current academic year in accordance with law and communicate their decision

MSR,J W.P.No.24263 of 2006 to the petitioner within four weeks from the date of the said representation. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
