HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U. DURGA PRASAD RAO Crl.P.M.P.No.2408 of 2015 in Crl.P.No.2204 of 2015 and Criminal Petition No.2204 of 2015 COMMON ORDER:

The defacto complainant and his counsel Sri K.L.B.Kumar are present. A.1 and A.2 and their Counsel Sri A.P.Reddy are present. Heard both sides and perused the petition.

On the report given by defacto complainant, the Police of Central Crime Station, Hyderabad registered FIR No.137 of 2014 against A.1 to A.4 for the offences under Sec.420 and 506 I.P.C. The allegation is that the accused approached the complainant and on the false promise that they would provide Data Entry Operator project work in Andhra Pradesh Technology Services, collected amounts and cheated him. The investigation is reported to be pending.

While-so, the parties and their Counsel appeared before this Court today and submitted that at the intervention of elders, they have amicably resolved their disputes and they want to live peacefully and that the defacto complainant has no objection for quashment of the proceedings and hence the Court may be pleased to accord permission to compound the offences and accordingly quash the proceedings in FIR No.137 of 2014 on the file of Central Crime Station, Hyderabad in the interest of justice. Having regard to the above said submission and in view of the fact that it is a monetary issue between the parties which they have amicably settled and no useful purpose will be served even if the investigation is ordered to be continued and by following the decision reported in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab and another, this petition is allowed and permission is accorded to the parties to compound the offence and consequently proceedings in FIR No.137

of 2014 on the file of Central Crime Station, Hyderabad, are hereby quashed.

In the result, both the petitions are accordingly allowed. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
