THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.4333 OF 2016 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Revenue. With consent of both the counsel, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

2. The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the inaction on the part of the respondents on the representations dated 10.11.2015 and 23.12.2015 made by the petitioner for mutation of her name in online computerized Revenue Records in respect of the land admeasuring Ac.0.75 cents covered by Sy.No.219 situated in Sanikavaram Village, Peddaraveedu Mandal, Prakasam District, as illegal, irregular and amounts to non-discharge of legal obligation conferred under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 and the Rules framed thereunder and consequently, to direct the respondents to mutate the petitioner's name in online computerized revenue records for the said land in her favour.

3. Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 23.12.2015 made by the petitioner at the earliest.

4. Learned Government Pleader for Revenue submits that the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner may be considered provided the said representation is still pending.

5. Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to dispose of the representation dated 23.12.2015 made by the petitioner, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
