Petitioner claims to have purchased agricultural land to an extent of Acs.3.04 guntas in Survey Nos.597/B and 597/A of Shameerpet Village and Mandal, Medchal District, through a registered sale deed dated 01.06.2007. Petitioner claims to have made representation on 28.08.2017 for mutation of his name in the revenue records, which is sent through a registered post and even before the said representation could reach the authorities concerned, the present Writ Petition is filed alleging inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering his request. 3.

The Court expresses displeasure in instituting such Writ Petitions and it cannot be expected that the authorities are required to act like photocopy machines. Furthermore, according to the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 (for short, 'the Act'), prescribed procedure is envisaged for making application for mutation of names in the revenue records. Without availing the said procedure, the petitioner straight away filed the present Writ Petition.

Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the remedy as available to him under the Act. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
