THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.11473 of 2018 ORDER:

In this writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the only grievance of the writ petitioner is non-completion of the investigation into the case in Crime No.116 of 2016 on the file of the Women Police Station, Central Crime Station, Hyderabad, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, on the basis of the private complaint referred by the XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mahila Court, Hyderabad, despite the complainant/informant submitted a report inter alia stating that the matter is settled before the elders and that she does not wish to prosecute the complaint/report in any manner.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana) appearing for the respondents. Perused material record. 3.

At the hearing, learned Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, dated 06.02.2018, a copy of which is placed on record, would submit that after completion of investigation, a final report has been filed before the Court of the learned Magistrate concerned and that in the said report, it is stated that action has been dropped.

The aforestated submissions are recorded. The writ petition shall stand disposed of as no further cause survives for adjudication. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order.
