THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.21393 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "to issue a writ, order or a direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not considering and disposing of the application submitted by the petitioner in Form-1A, dated 10.05.2017 for grant of Form-2B licence (bar licence) under the Andhra Pradesh Excise (Grant of License of Selling By Bar and Conditions of Licence) Rules, 2005, as being illegal, arbitrary and unreasonable and contrary to the said Rules and issue a consequential direction directing the second respondent to consider the application for issuance of Form-2B bar licence in favour of the petitioner and pass such further order or other orders as this Hon'ble High Court deems fit and proper."

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

The main grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents herein are not considering and disposing of the application submitted by him in Form-1A, dated 10.05.2017, for grant of Form-2B licence (bar licence) under the Andhra Pradesh Excise (Grant of License of Selling By Bar and Conditions of Licence) Rules, 2005.

Learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents are

processing the application, dated 10.05.2017, of the petitioner and appropriate orders will be passed after completion of the process. 5.

Recording the submission of the learned Government Pleader for Prohibition and Excise, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are herein directed to process the application, dated 10.05.2017, of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

7.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
