Heard counsel for the petitioner and the Government Pleader for Excise appearing for respondents. 2.
Petitioner's grievance is that though petitioner had made a representation on 15.02.2018, for compounding of the offence alleged against him by the 4th respondent, to the 4th respondent for forwarding the same to the 2nd respondent, the 4th respondent has not taken any action thereon. 3.
The Government Pleader for Excise appearing for respondents states that the 4th respondent will forward the representation of the petitioner dt.15.02.2018 to the 2nd respondent since it has been submitted through proper channel and that the 2nd respondent will take a decision thereon in accordance with law.

In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to forward the representation of the petitioner dt.15.02.2018 to the 2nd respondent, since it has been submitted through proper channel, and the 2nd respondent shall then take a decision thereon in accordance with law. This exercise shall be completed within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
