THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.23114 of 2010 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed for the following relief: "to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents in issuing Order No.315/ACPGP/Ganesh/10 dated 06.09.2010 as arbitrary, illegal and consequently set aside the same."

A perusal of the impugned order shows that the petitioner was directed to report at Chilkalguda Police Station everyday between 8 A.M. to 9 A.M. and again between 8 P.M. to 9 P.M. for a period of 17 days in connection with Ganesh Festival. This Court by order dated 20.09.2010 directed the respondents not to harass the petitioner when he visits the police station in the morning and evening as directed in the impugned order.

Since the period mentioned in the impugned order itself expired, the cause in this writ petition does not survive for consideration.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
