OFFIC NOTE 07.07.2022 KS,J In compliance with the direction of this Court dated 09.06.2022, the learned Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy District at L.B.Nagar has sent explanation stating that "due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, concerned jail authorities are not producing the accused physically in the Court and sometimes the accused are being produced through virtual mode; On the oral request of the Public Prosecutor or concerned police, having regard to the gravity of the offence and serious allegations against the accused, the remand of the accused is being extended from time to time; Due to technical reasons and sometimes due to paucity of time in judicial work as Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Cyberabad-cum-I Addl.District & Sessions Judge and also holding full additional charge as Principal District Judge, Ranga Reddy District, video conference was not taken up to record the presence of the accused" and pleaded that the lapse may be condoned.

Keeping in view the explanation of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge and also undertaking that the Metropolitan Sessions Judge would ensure the presence of the accused either physically or through virtual mode while passing orders of extension of remand.

Accordingly, no further orders are required.
