This petition is filed seeking for quashment of proceedings against the petitioner, who is A4, in F.I.R. No.54 of 2011 on the file of Tandoor Police Station, Mahaboobnagar District. 2.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent. None appears for the second respondent, in spite of notice.

As per the averments in the complaint, the petitioner herein is an advocate. The complaint does not spell as to how the petitioner-advocate is related to the other accused and as to what was his role in the suicide committed by the deceased. Further the petitioner's counsel brings to the notice of this Court that the trial went on against the other accused and they were acquitted in the case. He has also filed a copy of judgment dated 14.02.2014 in S.C.No.227 of 2013 passed by the Assistant Sessions Judge at Mahabubnagar. In view of the above, continuation of further proceedings would only be a futility and would result in abuse of process of law.

Hence, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings in F.I.R. No.54 of 2011 on the file of Tandoor Police Station, Mahaboobnagar District, against the petitioner-A.4, shall stand quashed.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
