THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.KESHAVA RAO W.P.NO.30445 OF 2017 ORAL ORDER (Per SKK,J) This writ petition is filed for a writ of Habeas Corpus declaring the inaction of the respondents in not tracing out the petitioner's daughter N.Jabilli, aged 27 years, missing from 20-07-2017, as illegal, arbitrary and against Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to trace out and produce the petitioner's daughter before the court. Respondents filed counter affidavit with regard to investigation being done by them. This court vide docket order dated 3.10.2017 directed the police to file additional affidavit indicating the steps taken by them to ascertain the whereabouts of the missing woman. Pursuant to which, the 3rd respondent filed counter affidavit narrating the steps taken by them for tracing the missing woman. Eventually, it is stated that investigation is still going on to trace the missing woman.

It is not in dispute that the daughter of the petitioner is missing since 20.07.2017 and till date the respondents could not trace her whereabouts. Keeping in view the averments made in the counter affidavit and in additional affidavit with regard to steps being taken by the respondents for tracing the missing girl, we hereby close the writ petition, directing the respondents to continue their efforts to find the missing woman and as and when any information is received, the same shall be communicated to the petitioner in writing. The counsel for the petitioner, handing over the call details to the Assistant Government Pleader for Home, sought this court to direct the respondents to investigate the said call data.

We hereby further direct the respondents to investigate the said call details furnished by the counsel for the petitioner and if any clue is found about the missing daughter of the petitioner, the same shall be communicated to the petitioner.

No order as to costs.
