Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2.
The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of Mandamus declaring the orders passed by respondent No.2 in File No.REV-CSECOV(MIS)/215/2016-DT(SUPDT-SWLA)-KCO, dated 12.05.2017, canceling the caste certificate of the petitioner, as illegal and arbitrary.

During the course of the argument, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in identical circumstances, this Court in W.P.No.10588 of 2007, passed the following order: "Against the orders passed by the District Collector, Krishna District, Machilipatnam, determining the social status of the writ petitioner, an appeal would lie to the State Government. It is therefore, appropriate that the writ petitioner should avail such an opportunity of preferring an appeal for, he can also establish as to the perversity of the finding of the facts recorded by the District Collector, before such an appellate authority. If the writ petitioner prefers an appeal to the State Government on or before 11.06.2007, the State Government may entertain the same and , preferably, decide the same on or before 15.08.2007. Till 15.08.2007, status-quo of the social status claim of the writ petitioner be maintained.
With this, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs."

Since the case on hand is identical to the writ petition referred to above, the petitioner shall avail the opportunity and the
CPK, J W.P.No.21485 of 2017 statutory remedy by preferring an appeal before the State Government - respondent No.1 and shall also establish as to the perversity of the finding of the facts recorded by the District Collector, before such appellate authority. If the petitioner prefers an appeal to the State Government within four (04) weeks from today, the State Government may entertain and decide the same at the earliest. Till such time, status quo of the social status claim of the writ petitioner to be maintained. It is needless to mention that the petitioner shall raise all the objections before the appellate authority, in which event, the appellate authority shall deal with the same in accordance with law, uninfluenced by the observation, if any, passed in this writ petition. 5.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
