THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.1950 OF 2016 ORDER:

This petition is filed by the petitioner-accused No.2 seeking to quash the proceedings against him in C.C.No.117 of 2014 on the file of the IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad.

Heard.

It is alleged that the petitioner along with other accused committed the offence punishable under Sections 332 r/w 109 IPC. It is alleged that on 17.12.2012 about 10 to 15 students under the leader ship of the petitioner came to the Vice Chancellor to discuss about Ph.D admission and while discussing the issue, one of the students slapped Dr. Narender, Associate Professor in Journalism.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the proceedings in the above C.C.

At this stage, the learned Counsel for the petitioner prayed for dispensing with the presence of the petitioner before the Court below.

In view of the request made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the presence of the petitioner before the Court below is dispensed with, except on the dates when his presence is insisted by the Court below. The petitioner shall be represented before the Court below by a Counsel on all hearing dates. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any,

shall stand closed.
