HONOURABLE Dr. JUSTICE B.SIVA SANKARA RAO Crl.P.No.7980 of 2015 ORDER :

This petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short, 'the CrPC') by the Petitioners-A.1 to A.6 to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.103 of 2015 on the file of the Station House Officer, Nuzvid Rural Police Station, Krishna District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A of I.P.C. on the report of the 1st respondent-defacto-complainant.

2. Pending disposal of the criminal petition, the 1st respondent filed a petition in Crl.P.M.P.No.7957 of 2015 seeking the Court to permit her to compound the offence with the petitioners and today present before this Court and stated that they have settled all the disputes including property between them amicably outside the Court with the intervention of the elders, and the defacto-complainant was paid permanent alimony amount of Rs.16,00,000/- through Demand Draft bearing No.317786, dt.15.05.2015 drawn on State Bank of India, Kankipadu Branch, Krishna District on both of them accepting to obtain divorce by consent and the 1st petitioner (husband of 1st respondent) also agreed to give custody of child by name Mukkala Arnica to her.

3. By virtue of the compromise between the parties and as they want to purchase peace, the above petitions are allowed permitting to compound the offences in the interest of justice.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed and all the proceedings in Cr.No.103 of 2015 on the file of the Station House Officer, Nuzvid Rural Police Station, Krishna District, are quashed. The bail bonds of the petitioners, if any, shall stand cancelled.

5. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
