THE HONOURABLE DR. JUSTICE D.NAGARJUN CRIMINAL PETITION No.720 of 2017 O R D E R:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner / accused No.4 under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, seeking quashment of proceedings in C.C.No.40 of 2016 on the file of the learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Kothagudem, Khammam District, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A, 406, 506 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioners.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State has submitted a copy of e-Courts proceedings wherein it is mentioned that the trial Court has acquitted the petitioner / accused No.4 on 16.08.2022.

The same is recorded.

In view of the above submission, since the very purpose of filing this Criminal Petition is already been fulfilled, no purpose would survive to proceed with this Criminal Petition and the same has become infructuous. 06.

In view of the above, this Criminal Petition is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There is no order as to costs.

As a sequel, pending Miscellaneous Applications in this matter, if any, shall stand closed.
