Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Endowments.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and due to the COVID-19 situation, the writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to clear the arrears of lease amount within one month from today and also directed the respondents to permit the petitioner to continue the lease period for the year 2021 by granting fresh lease in favour of the petitioner as per the terms and conditions of the previous year 2020 without there being any enhancement on the lease amount. In the event, if the petitioner fails to pay/deposit the arrears, it is open for the respondent temple to take steps in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
