P.Shiva Kumar, 936573 v. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corp.,
THE HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.2959 of 2015
ORDER
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for APSRTC.
2. The petitioner herein was appointed as Conductor on contract basis under Ex-serviceman quota. While he is stated to have worked for one and half years, he was disengaged by proceedings of the third respondent-Depot Manager dated 01.08.2014, in view of slack season and curtailment of schedule. It appears that the respondents-APSRTC is now considering the engagement of the Conductors on contract basis and the petitioner states that some of the persons similarly situated are already engaged.
Petitioner also made his last representation on 10.01.2015 to the second respondent requesting that he be reengaged.
3. In view of his past services rendered by the petitioner, it is, therefore, just and appropriate to dispose of the writ petition by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation aforesaid and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
