Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With their consent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

Since this Court is not going into the merits of the case, it may not be necessary to issue notice to respondents 5 and 6. 3.

The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

"....to issue a Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to consider and dispose of the Appeal No.RC.No.5993/2016/C which was reserved for orders on 22.10.2016 and consequently, declare the inaction of the 1st Respondent in sitting over the matter without passing orders in Appeal No.RC.No.5993/ 2016/C as bad in law and in violation of principles of natural justice."

Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal, which has been reserved for orders, at the earliest.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue would submit that he has no objection for the same provided the same is still pending. 6.

Having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the Appeal No.Rc.No.5993/2016/C, which is said to have been reserved for orders on 22.10.2016, in accordance with law, as early as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
