HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI I.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 2019 In/and CRIMINAL PETITION No. 1448 of 2016 ORDER:
The petitioners, who are accused Nos.1 to 5, in Crime No.19 of 2015 of Nampally Police Station, Hyderabad, filed this Criminal Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the docket order, dated 21.01.2015 in the aforesaid crime registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A and 307 read with 120-B I.P.C and Sections 4 and 6 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2.
During pendency of the Criminal Petition, I.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 2019 came to be filed by the second respondent-de facto complainant to record the compromise and to compound the offences. Along with the petitions, a joint memo came to be filed, inter alia stating that at the intervention of elders and well wishers, the parties have settled their disputes in terms of the compromise. The said joint memo has been supported by the affidavit of the second respondent, wherein she stated that she withdraw all the cases registered against the petitioners/accused. 3.
Today, both the parties are present before this Court and they are identified by their respective counsel. This Court, when examined, both the parties have stated that at the instance of the elders, they have settled the matter out of the Court and the second respondent has no objection for quashing the proceedings against the petitioners. Today, the 2nd respondent-complainant has received an amount of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakhs only) out of Rs.30,00,000/-, by way of demand drafts bearing
Nos.327029 and 327016 dated 07.06.2019 and 06.06.2019, before this Court, towards her permanent alimony.

In the light of the compromise arrived at between the parties, the compromise memo filed by both the parties is recorded and I.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 2019 are ordered.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed in terms of compromise, and the proceedings in Crime No.19 of 2015 of Nampally Police Station, Hyderabad, against the present petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 5 are hereby quashed.
