Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material available before this Court.

According to the petitioner, she is the wife of one late Thummala Madhusudhan Reddy, who participated in the Hyderabad Liberation Movement. It is further stated that though the petitioner's husband made applications for grant of pension under Swathantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme in the years 1984 and 1994 during his life time, he could not get any favourable orders from the respondents granting Swathantra Sainik Samman Pension. It is further stated that the petitioner herein also submitted an application after the death of her husband. In the above background, questioning the inaction on the part of the respondents, the present writ petition came to be filed in the year 2007.

Today, when the matter is taken up, a letter, dated 23.08.2017, of the Collector & District Magistrate, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri addressed to the Secretary to Government, Revenue (FF) Department, Telangana State is placed on record. In the said letter, it is stated that after verification of the certificates/documents furnished by the petitioner, the District Collector submitted proposals to the State Government vide Lr.No.C3/4579/2007, dated 25.04.2008, for sanction of pension in favour of the petitioner herein. While referring to the said letter, it is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that despite the said proposals, no orders have been passed so far by the
respondents, granting pension. It is also stated in the said letter that the Tahsildar, Valigonda, vide Lr.No.B/1764/2017, dated 04.08.2017, submitted a report that late Sri T.Madhusudhan Reddy, S/o.Sankar Reddy, R/o.Appaireddypally, H/o.Aroor Village of Valigonda Mandal participated in Razaakar Movement during the year 1947.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri K.Lakshman, learned Assistant Solicitor General, appearing for respondent No.1, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate action in the matter pursuant to the proposals sent by the District Collector, Nalgonda vide Lr.No.C3/4579/2007, dated 25.04.2008, and send a report to respondent No.1 within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If such report is sent within the said period, respondent No.1 shall pass final orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of three (3) months thereafter.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
