This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the 3rd respondent in harassing the 2nd petitioner and her family members by calling them to the police station and pressurising the 2nd petitioner to settle the dispute with regard to Case No.334 of 2019 filed by the 2nd respondent under sec 498 A of IPC r/w 4 & 6 of DP Act, before the WPS, Mahila Police Station, Hyderabad; and in interfering with the personal life and liberty of the petitioners. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home basing on the oral instructions submits that except investigating into the Crime No.
334 of 2019 registered under sec 498 A of IPC r/w 4 & 6 of DP Act, the respondent police are not pressurising the 2nd petitioner to settle the dispute between the 2nd petitioner and her husband; and that they are not interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioners. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent police not to interfere with the dispute between the 2nd petitioner and her husband. However, this order will not preclude the respondent police from investigating into the crime, in accordance with law. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
